Tulsa Father-To-Be Not Expected To Survive After Being Shot Through Apartment Wall, Police Say

Tulsa Police said a 20-year-old man and first-time father-to-be is not expected to survive after he was shot in the head through the wall he shared with the apartment next door. 

Timia Harding said her friend Aidan Fincher is a loving husband, an expectant father, and an all-around beautiful soul. 

"Aidan loved everyone that he ran into, and he worked so hard for everything that he had," she said. 

On Saturday, Fincher was at home when Tulsa Police said his neighbors, Corry Lykes and Tia Norwood, got into an altercation and a gun was fired. Police said the bullet went through the apartment wall and hit Aidan in the head. 

Both Lykes and Norwood are facing charges of first-degree manslaughter and reckless handling of a firearm. 

"He will always be with me, he left a mark on my heart, and I know I left a mark on his heart," Harding said. 

Harding said she met Fincher two years ago at work, and the two are now more like family. She said he couldn't wait to be a dad.

"He was so excited to be a father, I was giving him so many jokes about, ‘hey is Mina pregnant’ and one day he called me and was like, ‘hey Mimi guess what, Mina's pregnant,’ I was so excited about it," Harding said. 

Harding said she will miss their conversations, and how Fincher always had her back. She said she will now be there for his family. 

"You'll always be my friend, I'll be here to support your baby girl, your wife, your family," she said.
