Tulsa Police are looking for a man who crashed a truck he was towing and then sped off.
It all started just after 1 Monday afternoon when Tulsa Police were called to what they thought was a rolling gun battle near Lewis and Woodrow Streets. When they got there, they found no evidence of a shooting, but rather a lot of debris and a pickup truck that had run into a power pole.
Tulsa Police say according to witnesses, someone driving another pickup truck was towing this one with a chain and driving fast.
At one point, they say the driver even ran through the fence line of a nearby house hitting a car in the process.
Police say the driver eventually detached the towed truck from the chain, then drove off and left the messy scene behind.
Investigators called the owner of the truck being towed, but say she is not cooperating with them.
Now, police are trying to piece everything together and find the driver, who they say may have been on drugs.
"My understanding is, the way they were driving this truck out of control, it might have sounded like some gunshots,” said Lt. Dedlorn Sanders with Tulsa Police. “They weren’t being very responsible…trying to tow this truck."
Police say the driver also took out some mailboxes.
To their knowledge though, nobody was hurt.
This is a developing story...
