On Wednesday, the Tulsa City Council will vote on whether to approve the city's budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum proposed a budget of $799.4 million for the next fiscal year.
The budget includes: funding for the continued excavation and work for the 1921 Graves Investigation, an expansion of the Community Response Team that helps officers address mental health calls, as well as improvements to parks and neighborhood lighting.
The budget would be almost $30 million less than last year, but Mayor Bynum said it gives the city room to operate without relying on federal funds.
The Tulsa City Council will meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
