Friday's teacher of the day is Tisha Sides, a kindergarten teacher in Porter.

Her nominator told News On 6 that if families need something, she finds a way to get it for them, whether its food, clothing, coats or shoes.

She even welcomed five students into her home during the deep freeze because the families didn't have heat.
