Tulsa Police Host Community Event ‘Coffee With A Cop’

Tulsa Police officers are back to hosting their Coffee with a Cop event. They said it’s the first time they’ve been able to do so in about 18 months.

People got to meet officers from the Mingo Valley Division and ask them questions. Police said it’s all about building relationships with the community and addressing concerns people may have about safety in their neighborhoods.

"It dispels any kind of concerns from the public that they might hear about national stories, and they can find out what's actually happening here with their Tulsa Police Department,” Wollmershauser said.

Tulsa Police said they are looking forward to hosting more community engagement events like this in the future.

“These are just casual conversations we get to have with the public because policing is very much everybody’s job,” Tulsa Police Major Mark Wollmershauser Jr. said.
