Former Stillwater Teacher Convicted Of Sending Inappropriate Messages To Students

Former Stillwater teacher Alberto Morejon has been convicted of sending nude pictures to former students.

A former Stillwater teacher has been convicted of sending nude pictures and inappropriate messages to former students.

Alberto Morejon pleaded guilty to one count of Engaging in Sexual Communication with Minor by Use of Technology. Court records show that he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but his sentence could be re-evaluated after five.

He will also be required to register as a sex offender.

Morejon was arrested last May after a parent came forward saying they were concerned about their child's relationship with a former teacher. The State Board of Education suspended his teaching certificate in 2020. Morejon created the Facebook group "Oklahoma Teachers United" and was credited with heading up the teacher walkout back in 2018.
