Man Accused Of Raping, Impregnating 12-Year-Old Girl Expected In Court

A man accused of raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl is expected to go in front of a judge on Tuesday.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man accused of raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl is expected to go in front of a judge on Tuesday. Tulsa Police arrested 24-year-old Juan Miranda-Jara last week after they said he brought the girl to a hospital because she was in labor.

Investigators said when they arrived at the hospital, Miranda-Jara was with the minor and told them he had been in a relationship with her for the past nine months. Tulsa Police said the situation is bizarre because the suspect brought the 12-year-old to the hospital and then admitted to being her baby’s father.

Prosecutors charged Miranda-Jara with first-degree rape of a minor.
