While everyone vaccinated against COVID-19 gets a paper card as a record of the doses, the State Health Department also maintains a database of shot records, including vaccinations administered for other diseases.

The database could eventually be useful if more businesses require electronic verification of the COVID-19 vaccine. Other states, like California and New York, have launched vaccine passports to help businesses verify vaccine status, which those states require for some. In Oklahoma, while some businesses require masks, only a handful of public events have required proof of vaccination status. In those cases, the paper card distributed by the CDC was enough.
