Tulsa Police: Man In Custody After Chase In Stolen Car Through Two Counties

Tulsa police said a man is in custody after leading officers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on a chase from Rogers County to Tulsa County.

Tulsa police said a man is in custody after leading officers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers on a chase from Rogers County to Tulsa County. Police said it started in Inola when officers tried to pull the car over for speeding, but the driver took off.

Officers said the driver of a Chevy Tahoe hopped on Highway 412 to I-44 and eventually I-244. OHP and the Tulsa Police Department were involved in the pursuit.

They said the driver exited onto Admiral and bailed out of the car near Birmingham Avenue. Tulsa Police said they were able to use their helicopter to find the man and law enforcement was able to get him into custody.

Officers at the scene said the car was stolen and had drugs inside. Authorities said the suspect will be booked into the Rogers County Jail.

The name of the suspect has not been released.
