A Tulsa man pleaded guilty in federal court to sending emails to News On 6 with threatening messages against President Joe Biden and members of Congress, the U.S. attorneys office said.

58-year-old John Ahrens pleaded guilty to sending emails, threatening to kill members of Congress and their families, officials said. The emails were sent between May and June 2021.

The attorneys office said he also threatened to blow the president’s head off and was demanding money for himself and a tribal nation.

Ahrens was arrested in Tulsa in June. He will be sentenced on December 22.
