Hospitality House of Tulsa is celebrating its 15th year of service in the Tulsa community and to mark the milestone Mayor G.T. Bynum has officially proclaimed August 24, 2021 as "Hospitality House of Tulsa Day."
Hospitality House of Tulsa is a nonprofit ministry that serves the families of hospital patients being cared for in Tulsa.
It helps with lodging, meals, prayer support and transportation help.
Since 2006 Hospitality House of Tulsa said it has helped more than 7,400 and has even managed to stay open throughout the pandemic.
"For the majority of our families, unexpected medical crises like heart attacks, strokes, premature births, cancer, accidents and now COVID-19 require life-saving hospitalizations in our Tulsa hospitals,” said Toni Moore, Founder and CEO of Hospitality House of Tulsa. “Unfortunately, a medical crisis also brings significant out-of-pocket expenses which can financially devastate a family. Tulsans have continued to provide genuine hospitality for these hurting families."
The nonprofit said the best way to celebrated its 15th anniversary is to volunteer, provide a meal or make a donation of $15 or more.
