BOK Center Opening New Event Space, Entrance Ahead Of Blake Shelton Concert

Oklahoma's Own Blake Shelton will rock the BOK Center Friday night in Tulsa.

Blake Shelton is the headliner, of course, but the concert is bringing other big country names to town as well. Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, Tracy Byrd and Lindsay Ell will kick things off before Blake takes the stage.

And on Friday morning, before the show, the BOK Center will cut the ribbon on the River Spirit Casino Resort Lounge, a new entrance and event space on the northeast side of the arena.

The $4.7 million renovation wrapped up in 2020, but the BOK postponed the opening due to the pandemic.

It will be open to the public on event nights, with tickets to whatever event is happening. It will also serve as a space for special private events with a bar and kitchen.

The ribbon-cutting for the River Spirit Casino Resort Lounge is at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

It opens to folks going to Blake Shelton's concert at 4:30 p.m.

There’s also a free block party happening before the show at 3rd and Denver from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with live music, food trucks, drinks, games and a mechanical bull.
