Some state employees with health plans through Blue Cross and Blue Shield are facing a 140% price hike for specific premiums.
The plan for employees with more than one child on their plan jumps from $523 per month to more than $1200 per month, a $746 increase.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield says it will also not accept new members after the state decided to restrict the company's enrollment due to the rate adjustments.
