Tulsa police say a man has died after an apparent drive-by shooting at an apartment complex in West Tulsa. The investigation is ongoing and police have not yet made any arrests.

Police were called to the Western Pine apartments around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night and say they found the victim lying in the grass outside one of the buildings. Investigators say EMSA was called and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers say the victim is a man in his early 20s, but have not released any other information about him. They say the shooting appears to have happened from a car while the victim was standing outside and multiple guns, including a high-powered rifle, were used.

Investigators say some family members were outside when officers got there but they have not been able to determine a motive or any other information that led to the shooting.

“Looks like multiple rounds from a couple of different weapons,” said Capt. Jerrod Hart, Tulsa Police. “We’re trying to pull video from the apartments.”

Police are hopeful to learn more information, including an accurate description of the shooter’s car. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
