A trial scheduled to happen in February surrounding Oklahoma's three-drug cocktail used for its executions.
The drug at the center of the trial is "Midazolam."
The state recently used the drug to sedate John Grant, who convulsed more than two dozen times.
A majority of the state's Pardon and Parole Board think Oklahoma's current process is flawed.
The director of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections said he does not believe Grant's execution was inhumane.
News On 6 reached out to the department for a comment on the board's concerns, but have not heard back.
