Restore Hope is giving out more than $700,000 to six organizations across Green Country to help Oklahomans stay in their homes.
Restore Hope says there was a sense of urgency to help with housing instability caused by the pandemic.
The money will be used to boost support for local organizations.
Some recipients include the Tulsa Dream Center, Broken Arrow Neighbors, Owasso Community Resources and Housing Solutions to name a few.
Restore Hope says this is a way to help their partners continue their mission in helping those in need.
Restore Hope Executive Director Jeff Jaynes says tackling the homelessness issue should be a group effort.
"None of us do any of this stuff on our own, and so relationships and building a community, matters so much to me, and it matters to all of us," Jaynes said. "We're better when we work together."
Becky Gligo, the Executive Director of Housing Solutions, says this money is a game-changer for the organization and says it couldn't have been possible without the support of the community.
"Without hesitation, people from all walks of life give what they can whether it's time or dollars, and I think the same is true for our service provider community," Gligo said. "Everybody works together, and I think has a common goal to make their community stronger."
Jaynes says anyone who needs help with housing or rent can go to places like The Hub and the other recipients we mentioned to get the help they need.
