On Friday, Berryhill high school students transformed the school hallways into the Berryhill Polar Express for the elementary students.
Kylie Gibson was one of the tour guides for the kids and said the hard work was worth it for the students.
“I like seeing the joy on the kids face. They seem super excited and I just like making them happy so that’s what really what’s fun about it," said Gibson.
It took a group of dedicated teachers, a village of high school students, and a Christmas miracle to bring the Polar Express to life.
“It’s definitely a cool experience. I enjoy it a lot. Especially having other characters from other movies here. I feel like it just adds so much joy and fun to it," said Amerie Wits.
Gibson said her favorite part of the day was sharing the experience with her younger sister.
"You could tell she was excited obviously because you know. I just feel like it just lifts up spirits and I feel like it just makes her even more excited for Christmas and spending time with family obviously. But she’s excited," said Gibson.
