Tulsa police say a child has been found after a search by police and members of the community.

11-month-old Emari Redricks was in the backseat of a vehicle when it was stolen near the 2200 block of N Harvard Avenue near E Apache Street. Police say he is now safe and was found near 1818 east Virgin St.

"Thanks to the outstanding efforts of a Tulsa citizen we received a tip that the car was parked at B.C. Franklin Park. The suspect abandoned the car with the child still in the back seat and officers rushed the area and got the child out of the car," said TPD in their report.

Officers are still looking for the suspect in this case and the car is being processed for evidence.
