It's game time and Sooner fans say they're feasting on Duck.

Will Wednesday night mark the Sooner’s 31st Bowl win in school history? OU football fans are hopeful.

Happening now, the Oklahoma Sooners are in San Antonio, Texas taking on the Oregon Ducks in tonight's 29th Annual Alamo Bowl.

Members of the OU Club of Tulsa are holding a watch party at Big Whiskey's near 51st and Yale as the Sooners play in the school's 23rd consecutive bowl game, marking its 55th bowl game overall.

“Our hall of fame coach coming back for one more game. Who would’ve thought that would ever happen? So, it’s gonna be an awesome night for us,” said Chris Martin, co-president of the OU Club of Tulsa. “This is a revenge game for Bob Stoops and Oregon. 15 years ago, we got shortchanged on a couple of bad calls. We should have walked away from that game a winner.”

There are more than 300 members of the OU Club of Tulsa, first established in 1964, and many of them showed up at tonight's watch party.

“We have lots of fun at these watch parties. It’s a whole lot more fun to yell at the tv as a group than it is to do it all by yourself," said Paige Cole, co-president of the OU Club of Tulsa.

Co-President and 1992 OU graduate Paige Cole said she usually travels with her mom to watch the game in person but chose to cheer them on from Tulsa because of the pandemic.

The club raises money through events like this one to give $30,000 in scholarships each year to OU students at Norman and Tulsa.

They have several fundraising opportunities including a Sooner grab bag full of vintage and autographed items, as well as other fan memorabilia.

The money raised tonight, however, will go toward helping cover funeral costs for OU Cheerleader Britney Turley who Cole said died in a car crash over the weekend near the Oklahoma and Kansas border.

Cole said the money raised will be sent directly to the family and can also be used to help with medical expenses for Turley's sister, who was injured in the crash.
