Navient Cancels $1.7 Billion In Student Loans

Nearly 66,000 people are getting some of their student loans forgiven.

Navient, one of the largest student loan servicers, will cancel $1.7 billion in private loans as part of a settlement.

The company was accused of abusive lending practices and targeting students it knew would struggle to pay back the loans.
