City Of Collinsville Sues 31 Pharmacy Dealers

The City of Collinsville is suing more than 30 pharmaceutical companies over the opioid crisis.

The city said the companies knew they were downplaying the risk of prescription painkillers, overstating how effective they are and misrepresenting the medical usefulness of opioids.

The city also said companies did this to increase the number of prescriptions and users in Collinsville.

As of 2017, Oklahoma ranked in the top 10 for the most opioid prescriptions.
