The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is still working with companies to find ways to recoup the billions spent during last year's February winter storm.
The OCC says Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) customers owe $675 million.
According to the OCC, that breaks down to $476 per customer, but that's a price many could not afford. So customers won't have to pay it all at once.
Like with other natural gas companies, PSO will spread the bill out over 20 years.
That means customers will soon see a $4.06 increase in their monthly bills.
Under the deal, the OCC says if PSO gets any other money for the 2021 storm, it will be required to apply that to lower customer's fuel charges.
PSO also must work to improve its fuel supply plans to protect customers in the future.
