Tickets went on sale for Troy Aikman's Highway to Henryetta music festival in June.
The Henryetta native said the music festival will benefit the town's academic and athletic programs. Aikman said he's done a lot with the high school over the years, but now he's excited to be able to get the entire town involved in the music festival. Aikman said the Highway to Henryetta music festival is going to be unlike anything his hometown has seen before.

"That's really the motivation behind it trying to impact a town that had a significant impact on my life," said Aikman.
He said Henryetta has changed a lot since he left Oklahoma at age 19 but said it's had a lasting impact on him.
"In the summers I made a little extra spending money by hauling hay. My father didn't pay me. That was part of my responsibility as being his son, but I did it also for a lot of neighbors in the area and I think it forged a lot of the values that I have. I think it taught me a lot of lessons and it's carried me throughout my life and I think it served me in my athletic career," said Aikman.
He said he's excited to be able to give back to the town through the music festival and wishes he planned something like this before now. The lineup includes some big names including Oklahoma native Blake Shelton, Josh Abbott Band, Stoney Larue, Wade Bowen, and many more.
"I can feel it already we've brought an entire community together. This is not just my event. It's not just Blake Shelton's event. This is Henryetta's event," said Aikman.
