KEEP HOT FOOD ABOVE 140 DEGREES
INGREDIENTS
Braided Challah Bread (slice into 1 ½” slices)
Butter 2 Tbs
Batter-
4ea Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1 Tbs Vanilla Extract
¼ Cup Brown Sugar, (granulated)
1 Tbs Cinnamon (ground)
Bananas Foster
2ea Sliced Bananas (1/2” Slices)
Butter 1/4 Cup
Rum ¼ Cup
Garnish
Powdered Sugar
Strawberry (cut in half)
Whipped Topping
METHOD
1. Mix all batter ingredients together and set aside.
2. Slice braided challah and dip into batter and allow to soak for a minute.
3. Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat add 2 Tbs butter and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
4. Remove from pan and place on serving plate.
5. Begin making the bananas foster in the same pan by adding half of the butter and sliced bananas. Allow to caramelize on one side and turn over.
6. Add the sugar and rum off the heat and return to the stove to burn off the alcohol
7. Fold in the remaining butter into the sauce and pour over the top of the French toast.
8. Garnish the plate with powdered sugar, strawberry half, and whipped cream.
