The University of Tulsa men's basketball program is expected to hire Louisiana Tech's Eric Konkol as the next head basketball coach, according to multiple reports Monday morning.

Editor's Note: University of Tulsa basketball's Twitter account confirmed Eric Konkol as the new coach on March 21. There will be a meet and greet event with Eric Konkol and a welcome party at 5:30pm on March 22.

The University of Tulsa men's basketball program is expected to hire Louisiana Tech's Eric Konkol as the next head basketball coach, according to multiple reports Monday morning.

CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein tweeted that barring something unforeseen, Konkol is expected to be the next head coach.

Konkol joined Louisiana Tech as head coach before the 2015 season and has been with the program ever since. In his seven seasons with the Bulldogs, Konkol went 153-75 and won the regular-season C-USA Championship in 20-21.

Konkol is set to replace Frank Haith, who announced his resignation from the team in March.
