Rock Volunteer Fire Department Hosts Fundraiser For New Fire Station

An Osage County volunteer fire department is raising money to finish a new fire station.

The Rock Volunteer Fire Department appreciates those who have been supporting its mission.

The fire station is at the end of Highway 97, North of Sand Springs.

Saturday's fun activities include a car show, live music, barbeque and more, all to help the community.

"Helping people. I don't get no financial money out of this. It's just the idea that I am able to help out my neighbors and help people that live up north," Chief Charley Pearson said.

The event wraps up at 7 p.m. Saturday.
