Greenwood Gallery Hosts Final Event Before Closing Doors, Traveling

The Greenwood Gallery in Tulsa opened its doors for the last time on Saturday.

The art gallery hosted a final celebration with face painting, pop-ups for local small businesses, and markdown prices on its art in hopes of finding homes for the pieces before moving.

In June, the lease on the space was terminated for breaking its contract and the gallery was ordered to vacate, despite a petition to allow it to stay.

However, the owner and curator says it's an opportunity for growth, as the gallery will now become a traveling exhibit and tour venues around the country.

The gallery celebration runs until 11 p.m. Saturday before the exhibit heads to Dallas then Seattle.
