On May 16, Edward Madden, 29, pointed a gun at a stranger and chased the stranger through an apartment complex.
A contractor was working at the Savanna Landing Apartment complex when Madden walked up to him and put a gun in his face.
The contractor ran away from Madden, but he caught up to him and again pointed the gun in his face. The contractor was able to run away a second time and found a police officer.
Officers responded to the scene at the apartment complex and found Madden with a gun.
Tulsa Police said officers told him to put the gun down, but Madden refused and began firing at officers.
No officers were injured, and Madden was transported to a local hospital to get checked out, police said.
Madden wasn't living at the apartment complex at the the time of the shooting, according to police.
On Oct. 21, 2022, Madden was convicted on four counts of shooting with the intent to kill, one count of feloniously pointing a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm.
