A man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his involvement in a deadly crash during a police chase in 2021.
Jose Lara-Garcia entered the plea on Monday, right before his trial was supposed to start.

Lara-Garcia was allegedly fleeing from police when he crashed into the Arkansas River in March of 2021, killing 19-year-old Nathaly Medina and critically injuring a second passenger.
Lara-Garcia was originally charged with murder, but the judge amended it to first-degree manslaughter. He also pleaded guilty to DUI and endangering others while running from police.
Lara-Garcia is set to be sentenced in December.
