Cherokee Nation To Break Ground On New Park Near Sallisaw

The Cherokee Nation is breaking ground on a new park on the Robert S. Kerr Reservoir near Sallisaw.

Phase one of the new 100-acre development will add 74 RV sites and five guest cabins as well as essential infrastructure like water and power.

Work on that phase is expected to take about two years to complete.

A groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place at 10 am. on Thursday.
