A triple stabbing in Sapulpa during a Halloween party left two men in the hospital, according to Sapulpa Police.
Police said two men are in critical condition after they were stabbed multiple times, both needed surgery. Police said a third victim was expected to need stitches after he was stabbed as well.
The stabbings happened early Sunday morning in a gated neighborhood near West 77th Street and South 33rd West Avenue, on the edge of Sapulpa City limits, about two miles from Tulsa Hills.
Video from a neighbor shows the scene surrounding the Halloween party stabbings.
Police lined the Oak Leaf Estates, not letting people leave the gated neighborhood as they tried to get witness statements.
“Trying to ascertain who the suspect was, what happened, and so on and so forth was kind of chaotic,” Sapulpa Police Captain Troy Foreman said.
Even though there were about 100 people at the party, Foreman said officers had a difficult time getting information about the fight that happened outside of the house around 4:00 a.m.
“That’s the unfortunate thing. A lot of them [said], ‘I didn’t see it. I wasn’t out there.’ The ones that was out there were saying, ‘I couldn’t see. There’s too many people around, a crowd.’ So that’s what’s been difficult,” he said.
Foreman said police are hoping to learn more from surveillance video and the victims.
“We haven’t had an opportunity to talk to the actual victims yet,” Foreman said. “So letting them recover, get out of surgery, recoup, and then we’ll talk to them and see what they can help shed some light on.”
