Watch: Tulsa's Mother Road Market Celebrates 4 Years Of Operation

A Tulsa staple is celebrating an anniversary with something good. For four years now, Mother Road Market has been bringing food and fun to the community.

This celebration is on Saturday, November 12, and is a birthday party for everyone including special menu items, live music, and family activities.

Mother Road Market is Oklahoma's only nonprofit food hall giving local food entrepreneurs a platform to launch their businesses.

"Our goal is really just to break down barriers. We want to make sure that Tulsans, people with large ideas have an avenue, an outlet, and way to really see those ideas to fruition,” said Event and Hospitality Manager, Cory Ross.

At Saturday's birthday bash, around 20 food concepts will offer "birthday bites,” special menu items that allow people to sample several different things.

You can also try a specialty cocktail and in the evening, you can enjoy live music.

There will be a science show for kids, balloon twisters, and face painting.

Ross said this is their biggest event of the year and planning has been months in the making.

"Part of our goal was really to give back to Tulsa. So, we just wanted to make sure that we are having fun. But like Tulsa, the community, has really supported us. We wanted to make sure that we support them as well,” Ross said.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday but starting at 5 p.m., you'll need a ticket for the concerts.
