Looking for somewhere new to start your holiday shopping? Two Tulsa businesses are teaming up to create a “one stop holiday gift shop.”

Mary Beth Babcock owns Buck Atoms Gift Shop on Route 66. She, along with the owner of Ida Red General Store, have opened a pop-up shop at Mother Road Market, so shoppers wanting to support local businesses have a new place to go this year.

"I'm able to see that people in this community, they do support this and you're able as a small business owner to achieve what you're wanting,” Babcock said. “If you have a dream of opening a small business, a small restaurant of some sort, we are lucky in Tulsa that we have the people that encourage that and want to support that."

Throughout the shop, customers will be able to find ornaments and trinkets created by Babcock and 50 other local artists.

She loves being able to help others find success.

"I can touch the people that actually made the product, and I can see their studio and I can see their livelihood being enhanced by selling their products so it makes my job way more fun,” Babcock said.

Jeff Thompson, the Strategic Operations Director for Mother Road Market, hopes people will stop by to shop, maybe grab something to eat and help these local businesses.

"It's a true livelihood for families that the owners of these businesses are able to feed their kids and put them through college because locally they're supported by the people in Tulsa,” Thompson said.

The Ida Red and Buck Atoms shop will be open now through New Year’s Eve.
