TULSA, Okla. - Expect warm and pleasant weather as you head out the door on Tuesday.

Here are the details from News On 6 Meteorologist Alan Crone:

A pleasant and relatively uneventful stretch of weather is expected for the middle of the week before our next system arrives Friday with a few storm chances. Highs on Tuesday afternoon will reach the mid to upper 70s with south winds at 10 to 15 mph. Gusty south winds return Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. A cold front brings a chance for a few showers and storms late Friday and possibly early Saturday.

The upper wave that brought a few strong to severe storms last evening across the western sections is now positioned to our south where a surface low will develop near the Texas Gulf Coastal region near Beaumont. This feature may inhibit low-level flow back into Oklahoma until Friday as the next upper-level trough nears the state. South winds return today and will increase speeds Wednesday through Friday. But significant low-level moisture may not return until Friday directly before the main storm system arrives. This could limit the number and possible severity of storms for part of Friday and early Saturday across eastern Oklahoma. A layer of warm air aloft may also prohibit upward vertical development for most of Friday until colder air aloft arrives from the west. There remain some differences in the data regarding exact timing for the better chance of a few storms. We'll continue to keep a decent chance for storms (40%) Friday with a 30% early Saturday morning. Once the system exits eastward, pleasant weather should arrive for the weekend with highs in the upper 60s Saturday along with gusty northwest winds. Sunday morning starts in the mid-40s with a light breeze. Sunday afternoon highs will reach the lower 70s.
