Bill Meant To Address Workforce Shortages Caused By Lack Of Childcare Advances In The State Legislature

A bill is making its way through the state legislature, meant to address workforce shortages caused by a lack of childcare.

House Bill 2451 would give tax credits to employers who offer employees financial support for child care costs. It would also give a tax credit to employers who build or retro-fit a child care center on-site for employees.

The bill now heads to the Senate Appropriations and Budget committee. If it passes there, it could go for a full vote on the Senate Floor.
