Tulsa’s Gathering Place is bringing back free movie nights. The fun starts up again on Friday, April 21.
The annual tradition is back along with the warmer weather.
Get your picnic blankets and lawn chairs ready, Cox Movie Nights are kicking off in a couple days.
Sydney Brown is Gathering Place's Marketing Specialist.
"This Friday we have our very first Cox movie night of the year, we'll be showing Wall-E. At 5:30, we'll kick off our pre-show activities where people can celebrate Earth Day by creating their own robot, playing with recycled materials, and learning about sustainability and the wildlife here at the park from Gathering Place staff,” Brown said.
The movie starts at 7 p.m.
Movies are shown each month from April to June, and September and October. Each one is kid friendly.
There will be food along with movie snacks, and that’s not all.
"And it's great that we have these pre-show activities that really bring the movie to life,” Brown said.
Others in the cue include Rya and the Last Dragon, Vivo, Hocus Pocus, and the people's vote, Moana.
"It's super exciting to continue this tradition and it's always something that a lot of people look forward to,” Brown said.
