OSSA 'Vocal Music State Solo & Ensemble Contest' Canceled Due To Storm Damage On OBU Campus

An Oklahoma music and singing contest set to be held on Thursday in Shawnee has been canceled due to damage from overnight storms.

Leaders with the OSSAA say 2,000 students from all over the state were scheduled to travel to Shawnee over the next two days for the 'Vocal Music State Solo and Ensemble Contest.'

The event has now been canceled because of the damage at Oklahoma Baptist University from overnight storms that swept across parts of central Oklahoma.

OSSA leaders say the band and orchestra contest at OSU in Stillwater will continue as scheduled.
