American Airlines Reports Record 1st Quarter

American Airlines says it had a record first quarter this year.

The airline says it had revenue of $12.2 billion in the first three months of 2023. That's a 37% increase over last year.

American's CEO, Rober Isom said the airline completed more on-time flights than any other company in that time.

Isom says the company has now paid more than half of the $15 billion of debt it set out to pay off by the end of 2025.
