Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has signed a bill that establishes a state flood and drought management task force.
The group will be made up of a number of state and local agencies.
The task force will come up with solutions to help the state better respond, prevent and recover from floods and droughts. It will also help coordinate assistance from federal agencies.
The new law is set to take effect on November 1st, 2023.
