3 Tahlequah Men Sentenced For Robbing Man At Gunpoint

Three Tahlequah men are headed to prison after robbing a man at gunpoint in Cherokee County.

Prosecutors said Kody Fields, Amos Lawhead, and Jimmy Brown held the victim at gunpoint and asked for his cash, phone, gun, and vehicle.

Prosecutors said the men shot at the victim several times before driving off.

Detectives later found the vehicle abandoned and linked Fields, Lawhead, and Brown to the crime.

Brown was sentenced to just under four years, while Lawhead and Fields will spend 10 years in prison.
