Hominy Correctional Center To Remain On Lockdown After Deadly Stabbing

An inmate died after being stabbed at a correctional center in Hominy on May 19, ODOC said.

The Dick Conner Correctional Center will remain on lockdown until further notice, ODOC said.

A statewide lockdown of correctional facilities was implemented on Friday, May 19, after ODOC said an incident had taken place in Hominy.

ODOC said it is now allowing structured movement of inmates at all facilities, except DCCC for now.

No visitation will be held at DCCC but it will return to normal at all other facilities this weekend, ODOC said.

Operations are normal at both female facilities and all community corrections centers, ODOC said.
