Strong FC Tulsa Defense Leads To Another Draw Despite Injury Heavy Match

FC Tulsa walked away with another draw on the road Wednesday after a physical match-up with Monterey Bay F.C.

Goalkeeper Michael Nelson was one of the key players, recording five saves to hold Monterey Bay scoreless. The other theme for the night was injuries as three FC Tulsa players were forced out. Captain Eric Bird left the pitch around the 38′ minute and was followed by Rashid Tetteh in the 53′ minute. Finally, defender Justin Malou went down after heavy contact on a play toward the end of the match.

Three more road match-ups await FC Tulsa starting with Loudoun United FC on June 9. They currently sit in 7th place in the USL Eastern Conference.
