A virus that health experts say is on the rise across the country has now been confirmed in Tulsa.
The virus is called Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) and it causes a respiratory illness similar to the common cold or flu, according to health experts.
Experts say symptoms range from congestion to fever and chills to a runny nose.
According to the CDC, at the virus's height this year at the end of February, nearly 20% of people who took antigen tests were positive nationwide.
