Braille labels are now being offered to blind and visually impaired customers in Broken Arrow.

The city believes it's the first solid waste and recycling department in the area to do so.

Broken Arrow rolled out the labels at the beginning of June and says several people have already requested them.

The stickers are made with heavy duty adhesive and say "recyclables" and "garbage" in braille.

You can request the braille labels by calling 918-259-7000, or through the city's website.

A city worker will then come out and attach it to your carts.
