Tulsa Drillers' Manager Announces Temporary Leave For Cancer Treatments

The Drillers announced that manager Scott Hennessey will be taking a temporary, medical leave of absence.

The announcement came just hours before The Drillers opened a homestand against Northwest Arkansas Tuesday night.

Hennessey has stage 3, curable squamous cell carcinoma. His long-term prognosis is very good.

He'll undergo several weeks of chemotherapy in either Tulsa or Los Angeles.
