Tulsa Drillers To Host 'Mystery Ball' Fundraiser

Tulsa Drillers fans have a chance to get their hands on autographed baseballs at Friday night's game and support a good cause.

The star-studded signatures include Hall of Famers and MLB players from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers.

The Tulsa Drillers will host the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at ONEOK Field at 7 p.m., but the real action is happening off the field with a fundraiser benefitting T-Town TNR.

"We are strictly a volunteer and donation based nonprofit organization, so that is what keeps us going," said T-Town TNR volunteer Emanda Schwarz.

Fans can purchase a "Mystery Bag" for $25 and get a signed baseball. One of the autographs a lucky fan is sure to score is from the catcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers and World Champ Will Smith. Other notable names include Phillies JT Realmuto, Padres Juan Soto, and Hall of Famers Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez and Greg Maddux.

More sports memorabilia are also up for grabs through a silent auction.

"We will have several bobbleheads in the auction and signed baseballs. What I am excited about most is we have two of the Los Angeles Dodgers player bags that you can only get if you are a player," said Schwarz.

She said T-Town TNR relies on fundraisers like this to humanely reduce Tulsa's cat population.

"Since 2015, 8,800 cats have gone through our program," Schwarz continued saying, "We trap, neuter, and return unowned colony cats that are on the streets and inevitably we run into sick or injured cats that are in need."

She said the money will go into the nonprofits Critical Care Fund to pay for veterinary care.
