Former Cowboy Star Marcus Smart To Be Traded For First Time In NBA Career

Former Cowboy star Marcus Smart is on the move for the first time in his NBA career. He'll suit up in something other than Boston Celtics green next season.

Smart was traded to Memphis as part of a three-team deal that also saw Tyrus Jones headed to the Wizards and Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics.

Smart has spent his entire nine-year career in Boston and was the longest tenured player on the Celtics roster.

He is one of the league's elite defenders, and was named the 2021-22 defensive player of the year.
