Tulsa Zoo Open Again As Power Restored After Storm

The Tulsa Zoo is back open after losing power due to last weekend's storm.

Employees said no buildings or exhibits were damaged, but a couple of buildings still don't have power.

"We do have air conditioned buildings. We have places you can sit and get a cold drink. It's always just a fun thing to come to the zoo. You get to experience different thing, different seasons, and we just want people come out and know it's a safe place and it's a fun place," Joe Barkowski, Animal Conservation Science VP said.

The zoo said visiting in the mornings will be cooler, and people should drink a lot of water.

The zoo opens each morning at 8 a.m. during the summer.
