With Deneric Prince suiting up for the Kansas City Chiefs this fall, the University of Tulsa has big shoes to fill in its backfield.
A prime candidate to fill those shoes is Tulsa newcomer Braylin Presley, a Bixby native who transferred from Oklahoma State to TU this spring.
"He's just got some natural feel of space, instincts, playmaker," said University of Tulsa head coach Kevin Wilson.
Wilson said they'll be looking at Presley's consistency and durability.
"He flashes. But it's early; a lot of work to do," Wilson said.
The new Tulsa coach came to the Golden Hurricane from Ohio State, where he served as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends' coach for the Buckeyes.
Before that, Wilson was head coach at Indiana University and a long-time offensive coordinator with the Oklahoma Sooners.
The 5-foot, 8-inch tall Presley played in seven games as a true freshman at OSU. He caught five passes for 26 yards, had two carries for 3 yards and returned a kickoff for 19 yards.
