Next week, it's playoff time in high school football, but there are still things to settle in week 10.

Things like district titles and taking momentum into the postseason for some teams.

The marquee matchup of the Friday night? Bixby at Jenks, our Tulsa Tech Game of the Week.

This week, both coaches were clear, last year was in the past, and each were focused only on this year’s game. It was also clear the spector of the way last regular season ended was hanging over this game.

Bixby, with an average margin of victory of 54 points, and Jenks who was a win away from a district title.

First quarter, after a Trojan interception on play action, Owen Jones, deep down the middle for Khyier Beaty in the end zone, 31 yards.7-nothing Trojans.

But Bixby would answer after a big pass play. Jett Turner took the direct snap, he was in on the far side. That was 7-apiece.

Same score late in the second, after a loss of 13, Jenks handed it to K-D Jones, and he did the rest. 36 yards to pay dirt. Jenks led 14-7, the first time Bixby has trailed at halftime.

But then the second half happened. Sfter a T-D was called back, Carson Kirby to Blake Hogshooter in the back of the end zone, tied at 14.

Then after recovering a Jenks fumble, Tony Nguyen hit money and nailed the field goal. Bixby pitched a shutout in the second half.

The final, 31-14 Bixby.

Now it’s on to the postseason, and the smart money says, this isn’t the last time we’ve seen these two teams face off.
